I met Nelson years ago when I had my LGNDS shop and he’s been a supporter of my endeavors ever since. When we came to me to help launch his new brand, ADVRTCY, it was a no-brainer. Nelson hails from Lawrence, MA – a city north of Boston with an industrial heritage that is unfortunately now known as somewhere you wouldn’t want to be caught after dark. The brand name is a play on the words adversity and city. It’s a reference to where he’s from but also where he’s going.
I incorporated a sword/dagger into the logo as a reference to the phrase, “double-edged word.” In this case, it represents how adversity holds some back but also empowers others. The brand is in it’s early stages but I’m excited to see where it goes and am just happy to be along for the ride!
